ELIZABETH SCHAFFER POHL

At the end of my senior year, I started thinking what will I do after graduation?  My mother encouraged me to pursue nursing.  I had been working as an aide during the summer and I loved it.  My mother didn’t push me, she just suggested nursing.  I went to nursing school. 

I got married and will be married 50 years in September 2017.  We raised two daughters and have six grandchildren.  We love to travel.  I have been to 46 states and three countries.  We are active in church.  Things important in my life are family and God.

As I read over my life story, I will pass along a gentle encouragement to my grandchildren and other youth to try to find a career they would enjoy, and listen to what they say.
